August 25, 2009 - Tuesday
Hey Everyone,
Things have been busy, hectic, and out of control as usual. We've been hopping all over the country and the state of California lately but so everyone knows, we're officially back in business and playing LA again. There have been a few reports of people thinking that we are still out on tour but those stories are lies. Liars should be impaled with stakes that have been dipped in au jus sauce.
We've got some sick shows coming up with our homies The Shakers, The Mulhollands, Red Circle Underground, Automatique, Sucker for Pumps, The Naked, The Napoleon Complex, Pine and Battery, and a lot more. Check out all of their music if you like the good stuff. Remember, just because you have never heard of a band or they are "local" or "indie," doesn't mean that they won't rock you so hard that you have to change your underwear.
Don't be scurred, the album is coming soon. We're working as hard as we can to make it a speedy delivery. We've got a ton of cool shows coming up at places like the Garter, Boardner's, O'Brien's, Skinny's, and a bunch of other places soon. Keep checking back and don't forget to keep an eye on FatCityReprise.net for more Other News and links.

Hey Forkers!
We're here, we're safe, we're eatin good, and the weather's beautiful.
Thanks to everyone who made our Philly, New York City, Atlantic City,
and Ohio
shows such great times and huge successes. It was great to see so many
old friends
and catch up while playing some music at so many great venues we've
been lucky
enough to call home over the years.
As much as we miss everyone, it feels good to be back in LA and back to
work.
We've got an album to release, shows to play, new cities in California
to spread
to, and new merch to debut over the next few months and we'll be right
back on
the road again supporting "Pirate Radio" in YOUR town. This tour is
going to be
huge and we can't wait to meet all the people we haven't played for
yet. When
the dates are confirmed, we'll put them up asap.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the website for new content and news
articles.
We've got a few Ask Fat City's under our belts and a new video blog.
It's all
rolling toward you.

Hey Everyone,
Since we've been home, not only have we been eating like pigs but we've
been playing some really cool shows. Thanks to everyone down at Penn's
Landing for hooking up the Taste of Philadelphia show and thanks to
Rich
and Jo from Bluebond for getting us on their awesome outside show on
Passyunk
and South.
A special thanks to TJ, Live Nation, and Mike Lowe for setting up the
show at
the Borgata. It was a blast, we walked off stage and right onto the
tables to
clean the joint out. Thanks to Rich and Jodie from the roulette tables
for all
the luck. Of course, a huge thanks to everyone who came out to see us
at all
the shows we've played since we've been back.
We don't know if you've noticed but we put a bunch of shows up on the
MySpace
and have plenty more coming. We're going to get those dates out to you
guys
as soon as we can. In the meantime, we'll be found in line waiting for
water
ice and soft pretzels.

Hey Gang,
Things have been going great, we're here with a brief update. Last
couple shows were awesome, thanks to everyone who came out to the House
of Blues and the Venice Whaler, thanks to Chris and Jaclyn at Can of
Jam for booking us, thanks to Transit Earth and Purple Melon for
playing with us at the Whaler, thanks to Kevin for giving us the night,
and thanks to everyone else we neglected to mention.
In other news, Vivas did some music for a skateboard video featuring
our homie Sammy Baptista with a bunch of footage shot by our super
homie Amrit, A-1, The Sauce. Proof is a new skateboard video from Paul
Rodriguez and Nigel K. Alexander featuring Sam Baptista, Torey Pudwill,
Darrell Stanton, Chaz Ortiz, Justin Shulte, Terrel Robinson, Carlos
Zarazua, Nate Principato, Josh Grossuth, Keelan Dadd, Stevie Perez, and
Paul Rodriguez. It has a MySpace and a Facebook and is hot as shit.
Some of us went to the premier and the video is sick so please do check
that out.
Also, Amrit's boys over at JusLiv and SK8Mafia hooked us up with some
dope shit. Both of these companies have slamming apparel and Sk8Mafia
makes decks and wheels too. They're based out of San Diego and have all
kinds of cool stuff on their websites, which are linked below.
Finally, we're at the Viper Room at midnight on Thursday and it is FREE
for anyone on our guest list to get in that night, just message us your
name and let us know how many people you're coming with. It's going to
be a great night, don't miss out.
Don't forget to check out our new website, it has all kinds of cool
links on it, This Day in History, weekly Poll, In Other News, and our
first episode of Ask Fat City Reprise, keep your eyes open for the

Hey Forkers,
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Viper Room last night, it was a
packed house. Thanks to Chelsea for hooking it up and to Matticus and
Rich for manning the helm of the best sound on the Strip. Thanks to
everyone who came out and made the night fantastic. We also played the
Knitting Factory on Friday night and O'Brien's in Santa Monica on
Saturday night. It was a fun three-peat and we're back at it tonight.
Funny enough, our boy Thomas Ian Nicholas from Rookie of the Year and
American Pie is playing with his band at the Viper tonight. We played
with him before at our home away from home, The Bitter End in NYC, and
will be sharing the stage with him again tomorrow as we return to the
Viper Room stage. Unlimited free guest list, message us. We go on at
midnight.

Harry Kalas passed away today. The voice of the Philadelphia Phillies
has boomed into our homes since 1971. We'll miss you Harry. We will
always be waiting for your sweet baritone voice to come pouring out of
the television announcing that the ball is "way outta here." At least
Harry the K got to go out doing what he loved. The game just won't be
the same. Things happen sometimes that make you feel like you're a
litle older, like you grew up a little. We'll say it again, we'll miss
ya Harry. We'll leave you guys with two of his most memorable quotes.
"65,000 plus on their feet here at Veterans Stadium. The Tugger needs
one more...Swing and a miss! Yes, he struck him out! Yes, they did it!
The Phillies are world champions! World champions of baseball! It's
pandemonium at Veterans Stadium! All of the fans are on their feet.
This city has come together behind a baseball team!...Phillies are
world champions! This city knows it! This city loves it!"
"One strike away; nothing-and-two, the count to Hinske. Fans on the
their feet; rally towels are being waved. Brad Lidge stretches. The 0-2
pitch swing and a miss, struck him out! The Philadelphia Phillies are
2008 World Champions of baseball! Brad Lidge does it again, and stays
perfect for the 2008 season! 48-for-48 in save opportunities, and watch
the city celebrate! Don't let the 48-hour wait diminish the euphoria of
this moment, and the celebration. And it has been 28 years since the
Phillies have enjoyed a World Championship; 25 years in this city with
a team that has enjoyed a World Championship, and the fans are ready to
celebrate. What a night!"
May the Angels lead
you into paradise; may the martyrs greet you
at your arrival and lead you into the holy city, the new and eternal
Jerusalem.

Hey Everyone,
We are just waking up from our hangovers to tell you how we got them.
You see, a while back we got down and dirty and made some lemon cello
out of the fresh lemons our friend Jules was trying to get rid of. She
has a lemon tree and it dumped a whole mess of lemons onto her. As
Italians, lemonade was out of the question. When life gives Italians
lemons, they make cello.
We zested lemons and oranges, let them sit in grain alcohol for six
weeks, added simple syrup, filtered, and three weeks after that we were
sipping on some fine cello. The orange cello that we made is extra good
and unavailable at stores as far as we know.
Here's the pics, they don't taste as good as the cello but they're nice
:)

Hey
Everyone,
There was a really crazy protest on Hollywood and Highland the other
day and we happened to catch a few photos while we were there. The
whole point of the march was to encourage President Obama to pull the
troops out of all of their active occupational territories and end all
war that the government is actively pursuing throughout the globe. The
idea was that there is no difference between two nations or two men
that cannot be resolved in non-violent compromising and discourse.
The massive amount of people gathered on Hollywood and Vine and marched
down Hollywood Blvd until Cahuenga, where they turned towards Sunset
Blvd to walk past the CNN building. After CNN, they turned back to
Hollywood and paused in front of the Chinese Theater at Hollywood and
Highland to have a symbolic die-in. While playing bomb noises out of
giant speakers, everyone fell to the floor and pretended to be dead.
The marchers also carried coffins with Afghani, Iraqi, Palestinian, and
American flags on them. This was all to bring the visual of death into
the safe streets of Los Angeles. In countries where war is physically
going on, thousands of dead people in public places and coffins are
common.
After the die-in, the protesters arose with cries of "stop the wars,"
which they chanted until they reached the Armed Forces Recruitment
Center on Hollywood and La Brea. Once they got there, they gave a few
more speeches and dropped the coffins off at the door of the
Recruitment Center, which they called "the war machine."
Here's our pictures, it was really an amazing thing to see we wish that
everyone could have been there. We tried to only include the images
that convey the energy and feelings that surrounded the day.

Hey Everyone,
Wow have we been busy. We're taking a few weeks off from the House of
Blues residency this month to play some new spots around LA. We'll be
at the Bordello on April 2nd and at the Viper Room on April 12th. The
Viper show is free if you message us your name so we can put it on the
guest list.
We've also got two awesome gigs at awesome O'Brien's coming up, one on
April 11th and one on May 29th. The April 11th show will also feature
our good friends Sucker For Pumps and the May 29th show will feature
the lovely Audra Mae and the most rockin Automatique. We love it down
there in Santa Monica, we hope to see everyone at the show.
We've also been snaking our way through the Hermosa Beach Guitar Center
Battle of the Bands. We are playing the finals round on April 19th at
Club 705 on Hermosa Beach. We would love to see everyone's smiling
faces there.
We'll also be at Les Deux on May 25th and back at House of Blues with
our friends Cityzen on April 30th, lots of shows all over the place as
usual. We're also still working as hard as we can to get that second
album out to you and start our tour so we can do our big loop from LA
to Philly and back again. We're going to hit Colorado, Nebraska,
Chicago, Indiana, Ohio, New York City, DC, Baltimore, New Orleans,
Austin, and Philly with a few more places still on the hopefully list.
In other news, we became bonafied today when we were added to the great
Wikipedia.org. Now when you type in Fat City Reprise the article will
come up. We're also on the Twitter at http://twitter.com/FatCityReprise
so you can see what we're doing at all times. FatCityReprise.net also
just recently added a This Day in History section as well as a weekly
poll so be sure to check that out too. Lots of new stuff and plenty
more to come.

Everyone,
We played the Roxy on Sunset Blvd. on Monday, thanks to our awesome
friends the Automatic Music Explosion. It was Jodie's birthday and we
had the pleasure of sharing the stage with them for the evening. It was
an awesome night, we had a ball. Thanks to everyone who came out to
support and once again, Happy Birthday Jodie.

It's
been an incredible string of blurry days and endless nights since we
rang in the New Year. We're going to present the last month to you in
television format, that is we're going to leave out the boring stuff
like when we go to the bathroom and focus on the highlights.
The House of Blues has been dick poppins the last few weeks. Thanks to
Chris and Jaclyn at Can of Jam again for everything. We spent one
Thursday shooting the shit with Mike White.

Mike played Spawn in the Spawn movie, Mike Tyson in HBO's Tyson, and
was a crime boss in the Dark Knight. If you want to see some really
funny stuff, go to YouTube and watch the Black Dynamite red van
trailer. You'll notice that the girl on the left side of the photograph
is really bothered by the fact that we're taking a picture.
We also got to catch up with our friend T. K. Carter. We met T.K. at a
bar in Hollywood and bought him a drink. He came out to the House of
Blues to catch a set.

T. K. has been in NYPD Blue, Good Times, The Thing, Different World,
The Jeffersons, Ski Patrol, and Punky Brewster. We recognized him from
The Corner. We don't know if you've ever seen that show but it's about
heroin addicts in Baltimore and it's amazing. We'll be chilling with TK
a lot in the future.
Speaking of new friends, we met South Philly's own Dom Irerra outside
the House of Blues while walking to get the car. Dom is from 7th and
Tasker and we told him we were South Philly guys, we exchanged numbers
and he came to a show. Dom got us into his show at the Laugh Factory
where he performed with Dane Cook. It was an awesome night and Dom is
an absolute gentleman. From moment one, he was all class.

You might remember Dom from the Big Lebowski, Seinfeld, or Dr. Katz.
His stand-up is hysterical and he did this awesome bit about Wildwood,
New Jersey and no one in the room knew what Wildwood was but up in the
balcony we were pissing ourselves. We'll be hanging with Dom when he
gets back from tour.
We got to go to the Guitar Center Drum-Off at the Music Box, thanks to
Rita and Chelsea for hooking that up. We got to sip on freebie beers
while Chad Smith, Taylor Hawkins, and Nicko McBrain were floating
around. We got to talk to a lot of people that night, it was really
awesome. Here's another shot of us this time with Nicko McBrain of Iron
Maiden.

We know this blog is all pictures right now and its like the same
picture with different people in the middle but we told you, this is
television style. No filming sleep, bathroom, or eating. We only do
plot centric scenes. We only have 22 mins after commercials. Let's keep
this rolling people.
Once again we attended the Grammy's, this year we didn't have the RV so
it was much easier to get around. We were lucky enough to be styled by
the guys at Elmer Ave. Check out our swingin Elmer Ave jackets.

The list of performers was ridiculous and crazy long. Highlights for us
include but are not limited to: Al Green, U2, Coldplay, Jay-Z, Stevie
Wonder, John Mayer, and Buddy Guy. Our super homie Don Cello, Larry
Gold, was conducting the string section he arranged when Justin
Timberlake took the stage. If you were wondering why Justin sounded so
good, it's because Larry threatened to beat him up and down Broad
Street if he cracked any notes.
Let's not forget Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl did a version of "I Saw
Her Standing There" as if someone asked us what our musical wet dream
would be. You never saw four grown men reduced from boisterous to
silent so fast. We sat and stared holes in Paul McCartney as he watched
Little Wayne, Kanye, TI, and Jay-Z do "Swagger Like Us." Watching Paul
watch that performance go on while Dave Grohl played along with them on
the drums was almost better than watching them actually play.
We got to meet The Mars Volta, Philadelphia soul legend Bunny Sigler,
and Dweezil Zappa (you rocked in the fucking Running Man). We were also
blessed enough to run into our homeboy Dice Raw at the concession
stand. It's always good to see your friends, especially when you're
3,000 miles away from most of them.
The afterparty was crazy. There was a 60's love theme and all of these
performers doing absolutely mind bending things. The headlining act for
the afterparty was Morris Day and the Time. That's right, from Purple
Rain, of Jungle Love. Jesse Johnson, Jimmy Jam, and Jerome were there
too. They ripped up an amazing set, complete with a hair combing in the
mirror and a Frank Pedano dancing on stage. It was a thrill to see them
in such a small crowd. Frank met Evander Holyfield and we pricked Paris
Hilton as she walked by. For those of you who don't know, pricking
someone refers to saying someones name in a long and exaggerated
fashion and then saying the word prick as that person turns around to
wave hello.
All in all it's been a crazy month since we last blogged and more crazy
things are to come. It's hard to keep up with everything but we're
working as fast as we can to bring you more video blogs, Pirate Radio,
and some live videos too. We miss everyone back East and in the Midwest
and we promise we'll see you guys soon. Write us a message or a comment
and we'll hit you back:)

Hey
Everyone,
Sorry it's been a while since we've gotten in touch, things have been
their usual level of crazy around here the last few weeks. We'll try
and break it down as best we can.
We played Les Deux twice in December. For those of you who have never
been there, Les Deux is a Hollywood club where we've run into Tom
Morello, The Hills (A-Squad and B- Squad), Kurupt, the Pickup Artist,
Jason Mraz, and Johnny Depp. Yeah we said it, Depp was there and
Morello is still stalking us. They were great shows, big thanks to
Tuesdae, Ryan and Les Deux. We had an awesome time and can't wait to
play there again.
Thursdays at the House of Blues are back in full swing thanks to Chris
and Jaclyn of Jam, thank you guys so much, you're rock and roll stars.
Thanks to everyone who came out to show their support.
We played a show at the Good Hurt the day after New Year's, that was
really fun too. It was good to be back in the bar we played the very
first LA show in. We had a wonderful time there as well and it was
extremely nice to meet everyone.
We rang in the New Year in full Hollywood fashion on the top of a
mountain at a mansion party in Beverly Hills. It was crazy. There was a
swimming pool that had one wall facing the sheer face of a cliff so it
looked as if it kept going into infinity. Pictures ensued.

All in all, it was a crazy party. There was a Michael Jackson 's Beat
It style dance-off in the middle of the room. That's entertainment.
We're comin out swinging in the 09, new album, new videos, new
everything. Kickin in doors wavin the four fours, enough new content to
blow your mind for oh nine.
ALSO, we just got our songs up on iTunes, you can find the banner to
buy the album there on the left side of our page or you can just search
us at the iTunes store. Catch you Thursdays at the House of Blues!!
